Did you catch ‘One Piece: The Movie’?
Most probably, you might not have seen this movie as it was released in Japan in 2000. I think, it was never released in USA. Yesterday, I got the DVD of the movie from one of my Japan based friends and watched it. So, I am here to share the storyline of the movie with you.
It was the time, when several years had been passed, since the disappearance of the Great Gold Pirate Wonan. Though it had been quite long, but the legend still remained intact. Several pirates were in search of his mountain of gold, which was located on some remote island. Most notable and active were Captain El Drago and his team. They soon discovered the map which would take them to the island. While on the way, they met Straw Hat Pirates and decided to loot them. It resulted in a short fight and Luffy, Zoro, and Tobio were separated from their group. The much starved trio was led by the scent of the food, to a floating oden bar. It was being run by Ganzo, Tobio’s grandfather.
On the other hand, the crew of El Drago landed on Wonan’s Island. There they met Usopp, who started to lead them, with the help of their map, after introducing himself as a professional treasure hunter, to avoid being killed. Meanwhile, Zoro and Luffy dealt with their own problems. Nami helped Usopp and he got away from the enemy crew. The Straw Hats met and looked at the map which showed the way to Wonan’s treasure. Ultimately, the Straw Hats started climbing the Island’s only mountain, believing that the treasure was hidden on it. On the way, they met Ganzo who told them his story.
After reaching the top of the mountain, the gang saw an empty house. When El Drago came with his men, Luffy and Zoro beat them. Entering into the basement of the house, the group saw Wonan’s skeleton and the walls covered with a message for Ganzo. No gold was there to find on the island, and so the Straw Hats set their sail towards Grand Line.
Well, I honestly don’t know whether or not the movie is available anywhere to download. All the episodes of One Piece seasons are here, you an either watch online or can choose to download the episodes of your favorite animation series.
I only saw its trailer and never saw this movie. And after reading this post I’ll go to this movie. I think its very interested as the show is…
